Book Recommendation Wednesday – The Glass Castle

The Glass Castle by Jeannette Walls

I read The Glass Castle years ago but it is a book that has stuck with me ever since. If I had the power to reread a book like it was the first time I ever read it, this would be one of the books I would choose.

The story (actually a memoir) follows a dysfunctional family, with a mother and father who choose to be homeless while following their children around the United States.

To be perfectly honest, I don’t remember a lot of the details about the story (one of the reasons I want to reread it so badly), but what I can say is that whenever I think about the story, I get super excited. If I get that intense of an emotional response, it must have been fantastic.

I hope you give The Glass Castle a chance – and you should definitely read it before the movie comes out in 2017! (eek!!)
