We have arrived at day seven of Blogmas! Christmas is getting closer and closer every day! Thank you Swetlana @ The Caffeinated Bookworm Life, for sharing the 12 Days of Blogmas book event! The idea is to post every other day between December 2nd and December 24, so that you can have fun with some Christmas book posts and look back on what you read in 2017. I am on Day Seven: Top 7 Books You Want To Read In 2018 (that were released before 2018). This was a tough one; narrowing down my list to seven was a challenge. But here it is!

Swimming Lessons by Claire Fuller, because of this post by Kristin Kraves Books.

Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly because I NEED TO FINISH THIS BOOK! I have borrowed it from the library twice but have only made it 32% through. I am a horrible person.

The Lord of the Rings series because duh. I haven’t gotten around to reading the books yet but I WANT TO SO BADLY!

The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas because I have heard beautiful things about the story.

The Princess Bride by William Goldman because I started it a couple years ago but got distracted.

The Mistborn series by Brandon Sanderson because I had a friend rave about the series years ago and I need to finally find out if they are as great as she said.

Simon v. The Homo Sapiens Agenda by Becky Albertalli because I have only heard good things about this book.

Legend by Marie Lu because I loved Warcross so much.

Thank you for joining me for another Blogmas post! I have been having a lot of fun putting these posts together and they have helped me get back into blogging.

Questions for you:

  1. What pre-2018 book do you really want to read next year?
  2. What movie are you looking forward to watching in 2018?

Check out my other 12 Days of Blogmas posts here!

  1. Please get to The Hate U Give & Simon VS as soon as possible! Those are FANTASTIC reads and something I would recommend to anyone who wants a good book to read! I also really enjoyed Legend when I first read it, but that was years and years ago!

I keep eyeing Brandon Sanderson’s Mistborn series because so many fantasy lovers seem to really enjoy it but the books also look pretty big and kind of intimidate me, which is ridiculous considering I’ve read HUGE books before. I don’t know what it is about that particular series that throws me off.
