Book Recommendation – Life of Pi

Life of Pi by Yann Martel ft. a LEGO pirate

I read Life of Pi for the first time the summer before my senior year in high school. I think it was part of the AP Literature summer reading list my teacher had given us. This book blew my mind. Every interaction between the main character, Pi, and his surroundings is thrilling. Everything he encounters on his journey is layered with mystery and excitement.

I would recommend this book to someone who likes suspense and a story that makes you feel a little off balance the whole time. Life of Pi also has one of my favorite plot twists in the history of plot twists. If you’ve read the book, you know exactly what I’m talking about. When I reread the book last year, it had been so long since I read it the first time that I got to experience the plot twist ALL OVER AGAIN. Isn’t that every reader’s dream? Being able to reread a book like it’s the first time you’re reading it.

Did the plot twist make you question everything? I can’t be the only one.
